Paris I pin dreams on;
sculpted and gilded on the bridges
over the Seine,
boughed avenues
bowing deep under their weight,
clouds are fat and threaten to break.
yet the rain shall stay away,
the trees shall not fall,
the gold bridges shall shimmer,
and I shall be there to write it.
